Bares paleo perfecto
Vale. This is really nothing new. It’s a derivation of a familiar snack bar.
It’s a no bake, quick turnabout, snack.
- Package Chopped dates
- Handful of Almonds
- Handful of walnuts
- 1/3 cup coconut
- 1/6 cup Hershey dark 100% cacao
- Spoonful of peanut or almond butter
- Couple tablespoons of honey
Standard sized food processor. The mini one was too small for this recipe.
Put the dates In first. Run them till they are mush. Then the nuts. Get them all mushy together but still crunchy. Then add the rest and mixed it all together. I recommend putting the peanut/almond butter and honey in last.
Scoop it all out into a 6×8 Pyrex dish lined with wax paper.
If you have a smaller glass Pyrex, or something smooth and flat like that, press the mixed down. If you’re doing Crossfit, consider this your WOD as it takes a but of pressing.
Refrigerate for a couple hours.
Alternative: if you’re hungry right away, put about a 1/3 of the mix aside. Hand-form it to the shape of a Clif bar. Press the rest as instructed above. Then grab your water and enjoy your snack.
