1983 VW Adventure Wagon

What have here is the perfect candidate for a full restoration. Runs and drives. Just drove it from Costa Mesa, CA to Wilmington, NC in April. Rare AdventureWagen. It is a different build than the Westfalia in that is has a high top, as well as a different interior layout. Bigger bed! We have 200w of solar panels, a Renogy controller, and a 100Ah Renogy Lithium Battery. New tires, new fuel filter, new hoses, VERY LITTLE RUST and no holes. Straight frame. Inside has some LED reading lights, sink, Dometic fridge, propane stove and heater. Fresh and grey water tanks. I took it to Transporter Werks in Dunn, NC, where it currently resides, to get a resto estimate and it was a little more than I wanted to spend. If you’re a thru and thru VW Vanagon person, this is the exact right van for you. I know I loved driving it across the country, but I can’t commit to the Vanagon lifestyle just yet. Make me an offer. This is an all original AdventureWagen. Well maintained but never restored. Again, I would recommend doing the Subaru swap and replacing the transmission with a manual.
